Frequently asked questions
Does apple crumble contain gluten?
Yes. Both current versions use wheat flour, so there is no gluten-free compatible version yet.
Which version should I choose if I avoid lactose or milk protein?
Choose the vegan version. It uses dairy-free margarine instead of butter.
Does this crumble use egg?
No. Neither listed version uses egg, so egg is not shown as a visible restriction.
Can I make it ahead?
You can bake it ahead and warm it gently before serving. The topping is crispest soon after baking.
